Your new company
Your new company is an employer of choice in Cork, developing and managing properties on a large scale. They are looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is onsite with one day working from home and parking is available.
Your new role
This job involves providing administrative support to the Procurement Manager and managing key supplier relationships. The role includes liaising with site supervisors across various construction sites to ensure supply needs are met, raising purchase orders, and resolving order delays and errors. The candidate will also negotiate rates with suppliers, maintain a library of prices, and support the Procurement Manager with certified products new to the market. The role requires data entry, maintaining project files, and participating in project meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
The job requires a candidate with previous experience in purchasing and the construction industry who is detail-oriented, has effective time management skills, and takes accountability for their role. The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative, prioritise in a fast-paced environment, and have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience. The job also requires the candidate to be comfortable using systems and be technically minded. Strong administration skills are required, and a construction background is desirable. The selection criteria will be based on career achievement and cultural fit.
